Claire Gibson is the author of Beyond the Point (WilliamMorrow, 2019).
Beyond the Point was selected as a Book of the Month Club pick for April 2019, and is currently in development as a television series. Of the novel, Publisher’s Weekly said, “This heartening and heartbreaking story is an ode to the strength of friendship.”
Gibson’s essays and journalism have been featured in The Washington Post, The Christian Science Monitor, Marie Claire, The Tennessean, Garden & Gun Magazine, Entrepreneur Magazine, and The Nashville Scene, among many other publications. Her essay on adoption for Marie Claire was among a collection on modern fertility that earned the magazine an ASME nomination in 2019. In 2023, the Speranza Foundation selected Gibson as a Lincoln City Fellow, and she has benefitted from workshops at Sirenland Writers’ Conference, GoodLit, Rivendell.
She lives in Nashville, Tennessee with her husband an children, where she is at work on her sophomore novel, a multigenerational family saga about motherhood and war.
